Hey Guys,
I am looking to some UK improvements with a few friends to add on to pro mods. I have read that this is OK, but please correct me if this is otherwise. Anyway, I need to extract the promods .scs files so that I can access assets and the .mbd file. But when I use the .scs extractor it pops up with a .cmd for a tenth of a second and doesnt extract. Any ideas or is it even possible to do that?
Many Thanks
Dom

You just crank up the editor with promods installed and everything is revealed

Ok so, I have new issues ;p.
I make edits and I wanna save them. Obviosuly working from the promods map as the base, how do I save it?

With the save button? The saving process doesn't change.

But as I understand it, I need to make it a mod to see the changes in the game. I am pretty confused tbh
Yes of course. You always have to.

I dont understand... I do exactly what it says. I cut and paste the SCS file in the mod folder with promods files. And it says fail to load map files. Can you see something stupidly obvious I am doing? (Sorry for being such a noob, but I get everything else ;p)
Mind the folder structure, compressing method (store) and load order.

Save map
Go to Ets2 folder - > base folder and archive the folder called "map" and rename .zip to .scs
Put it in your mod folder
This isn't the best way but it works until you want to release your map
