Need to get used to seeing it .Actually it's mainly a facelift till 2022 and the new european regulations (more aerodynamic cabs, shock absorber at the front, more space for the driver and 20.25 or 20.50 meters )
Not sure if Pirri means the same as I do, but Scania's are good trucks, just not special enough for me to agree with every single one of the community that prefers Scania above everything. Me as Volvo fan, which is also overrated, is currently driving a Renault Range, which is most probably the best truck I've ever driven, and it's not even official SCS. Scania is good, but just because it has a 730 PS engine doesn't mean it's better than everything. A ~500-600 PS engine is already pretty powerful.LoaderSaints wrote:@PirriAND
Please elaborate.
Scania is indeed a popular truck but I don't know if it's overrated. Personally I prefer DAF over Scania however.
In fact the "legend" about Scanias and Volvos goes back to the 60's and used to be founded when they were truly above others in term of reliability which was the most important criteria those days. Now Scanias are everywhere. They used to be more expensive than the others but now the "base" trucks of any brands are at the same level.
Yet piloting a 6 series V8 now generates the same envy from colleagues than the LB141 did in the past .

In game probably, but in the real world its quite different. It really depends on where you are driving.LoaderSaints wrote:I totally agree with you on that.Polestar wrote:A ~500-600 PS engine is already pretty powerful.
Seen plenty of trucks that slow to a crawl up hills here in Norway, and they are usually foreign trucks with the 13L engines.
Most new Scanias I've seen with Norwegian plates are 580s and some 520s.
Not sure how popular the new R and S series will be around here as they seem to be missing the V8s 6x4 option.
Gazer75, you're wrong.I
There are a few images of 6x2/4 (midlift or taglift) with a V8 engine in it, on Scanias Instagram.

There is a 6x2 option, but from what their website list there is no 6x4.
A 6x2/4 is not the same as it has the front rear axle turning as well.

Can check each of them here. Scroll down to axle config
