Yeah they said they were thinking about making ferries more realistic in a way that they have scheduled times on which they arrive on designated ports so you won't be able to just spam deliveries back and forth.

I'd love to wait in a queue to drive on the ferry and pick my spot - same thing the other way, you'd have to wait until the other cars drive off on arrival...
