If you disable FLD pack and use PM2.66 with TGS it will be fine.

Sure, why not. Currently, „only" the north-western part of Kazakhstan is on the map. Astana, the capital not far from Kostanay. From there an excellent road leads through the Kazakh highlands to Lake Balkas and from there „easy" to get Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan
Of course, this is still far from China, but the Kazakh map would be greatly expanded
South from Kostanay, Aral, Baikonur and Tashkent(Uzbekistan) also could be connected
