You are correct, ProMods 2.62 is the latest version and you need all the SCS DLC to use it (Krone and Swartzmuller trailer dlc are optional) - I think you can use legacy versions although I've not tried so don't take that as gospel.

Did you make sure to sell all your garages, trucks and fire all your drivers? providing you had these. Also make sure to disable any addon associated to ProMods!
