Does this require the old the great steppe mod, or is the promods one required only?

I looked at other posts and videos on this topic, but I am still confused on how to do it. The main thing i'm confused about is how to open the ProMods map. Any help is appreciated! (I'm a fast learner if that is revelant)

Is there anyway to fix the game crashing when opening the world map? I used and downloaded everything from this guide: https://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?t=29618 (except the java road map). It think it has something to do with Rusmap or The Great Steppe as they are probably outdated. Thanks! Game...
