[Fixed] [#8265] minor bug, floating fence
an illusion-breaker on an otherwise lovely country road -- levitating fence! Re: Iceland just gets better
Now that you have mentioned this I've become attentive to it, and have noticed the same problem on roads with steep banks (currently on a two-lane trip in Eastern Europe). So it's a flaw in the terrain algorithm? Oh well. Probably not a high priority for SCS to fix :-) [edit] but I put it on the Wis...

Iceland just gets better
Was exploring the new roads in Iceland recently and it seems to me (I have not gone back to compare older snapshots yet) that a lot of artistic effort has been put into upgrading the terrain texture and vegetation: rock faces seem to look more realistic & randomised, and there's way more plant l...

More bouquets to hand out for N Fin/Rus/Norway: Murmansk/Ivalo/Nordkapp
I just travelled the 2lane from Murmansk to Ivalo and on to Nordkapp. Wow! Big bouquets and boxes of pizza to the person or team who did this stretch of country. The Russian section is, as usual, full of gritty realism (I damaged my truck on the subsiding, rough dirt roads); the Finnish/Norwegian ba...

Re: Is it a bug? bridge with no river?
It's a pretty cool road actually, pleasantly winding, with obstacles to avoid, kind of a challenge course. I could quibble about the realism -- don't think I saw any tree stumps to correspond with the number of big sawlogs being handled, nor were there enough tall straight conifers in the forest to ...

Is it a bug? bridge with no river?
Was sniffing around for more windy little back roads and found the logging road to Tartak -- is this PM? At one point I encountered what looked like a bridge, but there was not water for it to cross. Maybe it is some other structure that I'm not recognising? but I thought I would ask. is this a bug?...

Re: ETS2 coordinate system?
It looks like one of the telemetry values available from the game is local_scale, i.e. what the scale is where you are at present. so the game-metres to IRL-metres calculation is a little iffy when crossing a scale border, but once you're inside a scaled area it should be fairly straightforward. one...

ETS2 coordinate system?
I've had no luck getting an answer over at SCS yet, wondering if someone here can spare a moment to write a couple of lines explaining the ETS2 coord system. I'm starting to play with the telemetry SDK (under OSX, probably I'm the first on my block) and now that I can extract XYZ coordinates I'm won...
