Re: Map Scale

I suppose some people don't understand what scale really means in either a mathematical or realistic sense. By changing from 1:19 to 1:10 you are quite literally many hundreds of km to the game. I believe we are at about 5% scale at 1:19 so 200 km is more like 10.5 km in the game. If the team switch...

Re: I'd like to be a Beta tester.

As much as I like driving around the map, beta testing can be arduous work cause of the potential incomplete nature of areas like, invisible walls, gaps in the terrain, sometimes you end up just falling through textures. I've reported quite a few in my day all over the Promods map I can say the proc...

Re: Mapping

Recreating a mountainous landscape and canyon valleys is probably the thing I like most. While I dread having to place each and every building in a cityscape, plopping down identical buildings is a travesty and modeling new ones is time consuming. I'm okay with signs neither interesting or averting ...

Re: Your favourite Band/Song/etc.

As always music has so much scope that its probably hard for anyone to say they like any one song or for me genres over another. That being said I usually listen to a Pandora station that mixes hits and rock music from the 70s to Today. I'll find something I like so long as its not something that is...

Re: Road without dirt at the sides

If you mean to make your terrain on the sides of the road completely flat you can reduce the noise applied to the terrain to get a flat plane without any bumps applied to it. or you can use a bezier patch if you want more control over it the shape of the terrain.

Re: SCS Blog

This is a blog post for ATS, so I don't think this will be applied immediately to ETS2.

Re: Q&A Which cities/ferries/roads are included?

Are you planning to built those cities? ;) 1. Potsdam 2. Frankfurt am Oder 3. Görlitz 1.) it would be extremely difficult to fit it in as the Berlin Ring is absolutely huge and overlaps the area were the city lies. A scenery city is the best you could do in that case. 2.) I think as scenery it woul...
