Re: Development on version 2.x (Slovakia Rebuilding Project)
Very interesting. I go through Slovakia once or twice a year with humanitarian aid to Ужгород / Uzhgorod. Entering on E50 just west of Trenčín, staying on E50 all the way to Prešov, where I take the 18 to Michalovce, joining the E50 the last stretch to Ужгород. Looking forward to a Promods version o...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Assets & General Improvement
Corruption, would i call it You clearly don't know what corruption is, then. There are plenty of people in the ETS2 community who actually have to struggle with corruption in their home countries. You are not one of them. MandelSoft: I am also extremely happy to see some work done on the Norwegian ...

Re: greenland
Yes. That is why Iceland is so geologically active (volcanos, geysers), because the Eurasian and American plates meet right across Iceland .MYE2001 wrote:^^Is it?

Re: Development on version 2.x (Iceland edition)
Awesome :D . Martinus Kundla: As I remember it from our winter road trip on Iceland a few years ago, there really isn't that much snow in coastal Iceland, and the snow that is there usually blows away, rather than being plowed, making very little snow piles ;) . One problem I have with Iceland as it...

Re: RusMap v1.6.1 (1.22.x)
Is that because you played for a month in 1.23, or because your last manual save was a month ago? I believe the latest autosave from the previous build is backed up in My Documents when you update to a newer build. Go to My Documents / Euro Truck Simulator 2. Here you should find a folder called &qu...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Finland edition)
Winter tires are not illegal in summer. In fact, many companies (the one I work for included) use winter tires all year. We change to new tires in autumn, and use them until next autumn, so we always have new tires for the winter season, and spend the summer season wearing out the old tires. Studded...

Re: ignorant n00b question: axle lift
In game, yes. In real life I used to drive a 3 axle DAF with 1,050l diesel tank. That is already over the legal 1000l tank allowed to fit as a running fuel tank on a road vehicle .

Re: Which Promod version to use if you don't have DLC?
Click the "Compatibility" button on the top of the website here (or this link: http://www.promods.net/compat.php), and you'll get a list over the earlier Promods versions, and which version is compatible with which DLCs and game version, complete with download links :) . As far as I can se...

Re: ignorant n00b question: axle lift
Yep, it's all about weight restrictions. It doesn't have to be "extra heavy loads", though. Although many countries only permit 40 tonnes total weight (which is why most cross-continental trucks only have two axles), other countries allow higher total weights. To be able to haul more weigh...

Re: ignorant n00b question: axle lift
It massively reduces the turn radius when lifted, compared to having it lowered, or a permanent 3-axle setup. It also adds traction when lifted, like in real life. I have actually used it once to get started on a steep hill, where the wheels would spin with the axle lowered. With a permanent 3-axle,...
