Re: Development on version 2.x (Balkan Area)

Isn't there the possibility to use both codes (NMK and MK)? Because this would be the most realistic way to implement the plates into the game. As Frozen1 said, yes, the new plates will all have the NMK code, but the old ones will probably remain with MK, as Vøytek said (and very well said, it is ob...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Moldova Edition)

Still does not work properly. I tried with the legacy keyboard as you said, but in MS Paint the characters are still not recognized. Also, I tried in Office Word as dennis_2310 did, and the standard romanian layout works well, but with the legacy it does not recognize Ș and Ț.

Re: Development on version 2.x (Moldova Edition)

Oh, my mistake then. I said that this font is almost useless for Moldova because when I made those remakes of the sign (in MS Paint) I tried to write the Ă, Î, Â, Ș, Ț characters with this font using Romanian keyboard layout, and it did not work, they were not recognized by the font. But now I looke...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Moldova Edition)

Yes, that's right, Estonia uses Arial, too, in combination with Helvetica. And Wikipedia says that in Moldova (besides the Russian signs font) is the same situation: Arial+ Helvetica. I've added to my remake of that Moldovan sign the Helvetica Bold font, too. But I still think it is Arial Bold or so...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Moldova Edition)

Yes, I know there is a specifically Russian signs font used in almost all the ex-soviet countries, which is used on the signs in first 4 photos I linked. But in the last photo I linked I said that it seems to be another font (like Arial, which I know it's used sometimes in Moldova). Or maybe I could...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Moldova Edition)

Your work is awesome! But I have a suggestion: the text on the road signs in Moldova is not written with SNV typeface (I saw you used SNV), but with a modified version of the Russian typeface(GOST R 52290–2004) and Arial Bold(sometimes) or Arial Narrow Bold(also, sometimes). So, it would be more rea...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Moldova Edition)

From what I know, Gagauzia is just an autonomus region (and so, part of Moldova), so it hasn't disputed status like Transnistria (which declared independence, but not recognised by many countries).

Re: Development on version 2.x (Moldova edition)

Maybe I am too concentrated on details, but because Moldova uses generally on the road signs that typeface derived from the russian one (GOST R 52290–2004), it would be nice to use it also in the game (of course, if you can find it), instead of SNV (I would say it's SNV on the signs from the photos).
