Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

In Purno's representation he's only using the airport, locally known either as "Leifsstöð" (Port of Leifur) or "Keflavíkurflugvöllur", Keflavík airport. The latter is used internationally, or, in its full form: Keflavík International Airport. Awsome I am actually learning more t...

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

Geothermal energy is used to generate electricity, not to heat houses. We just use hot water for that. The water runs hot in our pipes ( we tap into geothermal springs , or geysirs), and we just pump it through a ceramic heater to warm our houses. It works beautifully. Nice contradiction there :P I...

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

There's too much smoke in the cities, it keeps looking like the houses are on fire and it's putting me off slightly. Icelandic houses are heated with water, most (newer) houses don't have any hearths and chimneys at all, and in most of the houses that do have them, the chimney has been blocked with ...

Flúdir is Flúðir (With an ð)
Same goes for Neskaupstaður (Not -stadur).

Other than that, you're in the clear :)

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

Gah, I wish I had known this earlier. Some of you Icelanders should really contact Google to correct their mistakes... Did you check all the other towns I made or plan to make too? The sooner I know any errors, the better. Do you have a list of the towns somewhere? I'll get right on it ASAP! :) Of ...

Strange, using the 360 degree view looks just like "Streetview," including the semi-transparent arrows to shift one's viewpoint... ;)
