Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

I may be able to add some kind of suspension on that bridge. Will have to look into it. Also, the hanging lights are an interesting thing. Got more pictures for a reference? As always, Google has the answer :3 (There used to be a wooden suspension bridge there, which collapsed in the sixties. That'...

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

-snip- These would require specific models to be made. I figured.. Would be cool, though. Unless you can find me a model that looks close enough? I wish I could, but alas I have no skills recquired :( Page 36: Greetings from Selfoss, southern Iceland; <imgs> Note that the bridge is a hanging bridge...

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

Haven't been following updates in quite some time, but here's my input so far: Reykjavík is looking great! So is the rest of the map. Any plans on putting Hallgrímskirkja church or Perlan anywhere? They're quite visible landmarks, especially Hallgrímskirkja. On page 28: Bær means district or municip...

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

That info came from a "Nordic Adventure Travel"-brochure, indicating 7 species of seal and walrusses can be spotted in your country/coastal waters, but if, as you say, they don't go near man-made structures, that idea can be scrapped. Walrusses used to live here in the past, so the brochu...

Seals? Yes. Walrusses? No. On land and/or near towns/roads? Certainly not.

MandelSoft wrote:Actually, there are two motorway-ish roads in Iceland: route 41 and 49, but only for short stretches in Reykjavík.
Route 41 is quite long, though, stretching from Reykjavík to Reykjanesbær, around 40km.

Still loving your progress. Still want to remind you that Árborg's really called Selfoss :3

In all seriousness, this is looking great!

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)

Not sure what the exact ferry connection is. The Icelandic harbor is Seyðisfjörður. The ferry connection is Seyðisfjörður [IS] (Those ð's are not "o"'s, BTW, they're "d"'s) - Tórshavn [DK Faroe] - Hirtshals [DK] A few tips from a native: Iceland isn't all covered in snow, howeve...
