Re: Truckers code of conduct
Two things I learnt early in my career, to disable speedos on rental cars and to disable speed limiters. One comes with a bit more risk that the other given the fines for disabling speed limiters but in a game like ETS there is no repercussions so all is good, lets bring on the ambulance racing

Re: Extreme Euro trucking videos
We don't have the tunnels like that but the twisty turny roads on the side of the hills reminds me of dragging logs out of the bush. Dirt tracks, steep hills, no room for error and the only thing between you and the truck coming up the track empty is the CB radio which you monitor constantly as you ...

Re: Heavy Haulage Escort
Nice idea, they'd get sick of me passing them and arriving at the destination 3 days before them, but I like the idea Another one of those things where effort and changes would probably out weigh the useability of the rest of the game.

Re: Truckers code of conduct
I don't really care for "cop chases", but having some police in the game would be nice. DUI tests or something like that would be nice to have (quite regular here in Estonia, especially at Jaanipäev ) I agree something more than just cash registers and a few bucks coming from your ac...

Re: Truckers code of conduct
right now I'm like "get out from my way" by blinking the lights :D Put a beacon on the roof of the truck and have it turned on all the time. Doesn't do anything to make driving easier but in my rule book it tells other drivers 'get out of the way I'm in a hurry and your piddly little buzz...

Re: Truckers code of conduct
They do the same down here with the addition that most overtaking trucks, on getting the headlight flash, then indicate left - right - left (or whatever maniac sequence they come up with) to say thanks. Yeah we've been doing it for years. Even in the ute if I'm not talking to the driver on the radi...

Re: phpBB woes
I'm not talking about style changes. Most of the time I don't care about it, unless there's obvious flaws like bad contrast etc. Besides it's easy to change CSS by any admin and user alike (I use Stylish browser extension for a number of sites). What I mean is real backend functionality (written in...

Re: phpBB woes
I always like to be informed of alternatives, don't need pros/cons as it's down to preferences anyway ;-) Platform is Linux/Apache running PHP and mySQL or PostgreSQL at the backend I prefer to research and judge on my own personal experience. If the product looks like it suits my needs, or the nee...
