- west fjords are planned; Ísafjörđur and Ólafsvík. - route 1 is only a tad shorter than the detour via Reyđarfjörđur. That part of route 1 is closed during winter. IMO the detour makes sense. - Egilsstađir could perhaps be upgraded in future, but it's not a priority IMO. Selfoss is in a similar pos...
