Why were they removed? Would it be possible to get them back?

There is no ferry connection in the from version 2.40 onwards between Helsinki-Stockholm, Tallinn-Stockholm and Stockholm-Mariehamn (-Turku). Which were still in the version 2.33. Helsinki has now only ferry port to Tallinn but another ferry port (to Stockholm) is removed from version 2.40 and later.

I tried couple times to download Middle East Add-On but nothing happens. I get to page 4/4 but I can not find any link to download and it also does not start automatically.
