However no matter how good you made the map mod, if community is not interested and decide not using the map you made, it will be such HUGE WASTE of your time and effort. You don't have to feel obligated to create map mods for us, the community. The only thing that should matter to you is yourself:...

No, for Southern Region you only need one file (and of course maybe some road connections). But this one file contains all def, map, models, etc.

Maybe it doesn't cause broken roads, but there are more ways to get crashes... Like your mod overwriting assets or materials. That's why you never, ever should overwrite a road connection. Road connections are not just about roads, but also about things like assets, materials, models, etc.
