Because of the scale of the game many roads and cities simply do not fit, because there is no space. It is a critical problem for smaller countries like The Netherlands

There aren't many people using Steam Deck, but in any case, if you use your def file on multiple platforms then just leave the settings as per default. This is how SCS configures them.

Either you didn't download and install the def file or you have a mod conflict which is overwriting our def file

This is an SCS bug which is caused when using too many map mods, it overloads the buffer memory of the game and then crashes it. They are working on fixing it.

In the mean time, the only solution is to use the Map Zoom Crash fix mod from Steam and use a different background map
