Re: Resting points in cities/highways

Yes of cours but in real life you can stop everywhere on some free space next to the road, but in game just on reserved places if you know what i mean Even in real life you're not allowed to pull over alongside the road, unless there is an emergency. You can't just pull over and take a nap.. Furthe...

Re: Would you be a long distance driver in real life?

I'm already a long distance driver in real life. I wish I lived closed near the office.. Especially with rushhour traffic!

Re: Rules do not load?

Maybe if the rules aren't translated, the English rules can be shown as a fallback?

Re: Information section

Isn't the top 10 cached? As long a user account isn't created, edited (in this case countryid of user (or similar field) or deleted, those numbers don't change.. On the other hand, most addons (often called scripts) for phpBB (or open source e-commerce platforms) are hitting all programming anti-pat...

Re: Spain being added any time soon?

They indeed didn't use the map from STDS, but they copied the Scania trucks (with some tweaks). That is why Scania was the only real brand in ETS2 when it came out. Side note: ETS2 came out only 6 months later ;-) I must emit, I do miss the truck driver competitions in ETS2/ATS. I would have been ni...

Re: ProMods w/o Viva La France!

Got it :) Damn, I should have gotten this DLC during the Steam summer sale. You can still get it with discount from instant-gaming (https://www.instant-gaming.com/en/1798-buy-key-steam-euro-truck-simulator-2-vive-la-france/) or G2A. The first has a high discount ;-) There a quite a few of those key...

Re: Spain being added any time soon?

I suspect the next MAP DLC of SCS is the 'south' version which finally would complement Italy (I know that Rome wasn't build in a day, but I'm already waiting 5 years) and some of Spain. I have a slight feeling SCS is adding new mapping resources (employees) to the ATS states at the moment as people...

Re: New Scania Torpedo!!!

Actually the Scania T-models were popular in the 80s/90s because the engines were very accessible and they were also a bit safer in crash situation. These days most trucks swivel their cabin with a push of a button and crash safety has improved a lot. Then there is also a third economic reason why S...

Re: ProMod's not functioning properly on mac

I just copied my paylink single zip file to a osx machine and was able to extract the archive with Keka.. Or you could copy the 7zip archives onto a flash drive and use a Windows pc/laptop from a friend or family member. Remember that osx is not optimized for gaming, so with a osx system you often r...

Re: Heavy cargo pack - how is it?

The HC pack is very, very well made. It's great fun to drive them. They even drive easier then the regular trailers. Simply because of their turning axles. Even the small Icelandic roundabouts are really easy with the huge and heavy train trailer. Reversing is a bit challenging. But once you get th...
