Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)
How dare you be ill? That's very selfish of you. You have an obligation to spend ALL YOUR FREE TIME on this. You're not even allowed to sleep. On a serious note, hope you get better soon. You've progressed nicely so far and I think you have kept both a high standard and a high rate of development. :)

It definitely loads fast enough to me. I haven't got a clue where the majhost servers are located but I really don't think it is too slow.Purno wrote:Personally I find majhost's speed pretty decent, but I don't mind waiting a few seconds to download an image a few megabytes in size.

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)
Ok, this is what I'm planning for Höfn; http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Purno/ETS2/modding/iceland_screenshot_20140612a.png This is a very small distance from the intersection of route 1. It's a dead end road towards Höfn. Right before you enter Höfn there's a gas station. The road behind the gas st...

Wow. All these pictures are great but this is a uniquely clever idea. I love it.Purno wrote:This road took me a while to make. I hope you like it. Time for some picture spam (heavy load!)

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)
What do other people think I should do? Should I make that part of Route 1 or close it off? For reference, I'm talking about this piece of road . It is one of the fewer inland pieces of roads though, as most part of routes 1 and 96 are coastal. If routes 92 and 96 are being made, I'd say ignore tha...

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)
I like that bridge shot and the town pictures too. However, that tunnel feels quite... forced. More so than usual. Still, looking very good and I'm happy to see some inter-city routes being built. You work fast!

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)
There's the Google Street View. Such roads only really exist near the capital. The rest will be single carriageways with one lane in each direction.lykopotoboy wrote:I have never been to Iceland, so does anyone know if there are freeways (motorways) in iceland

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)
Great work Purno! But everywhere will be snow? In Iceland is also summer. Keep it up! While it's true Iceland does have summer, this is a way to "spice up" the map a little. We have so much of the temperate climate with the eternal summer. Having a wintery Iceland is perfect to set it apa...

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)
This is all coming together very nicely. I appreciate the effort you put into this, Purno. I would know from your experience in TTD graphics that this should come easy to you but you are surprising me with the level of quality displayed, especially when compared to your limited ETS mapping experienc...
