I managed to make a simple skin but for one thing - I got the template lines all over my truck. I guess you have to 'hide' the template layer before saving as a dds file?

Sure you will have seen this. Maybe not Euro, but still.

Those barriers give a nice authentic touch.

In the tutorial just before the save instruction, there is a paint.net screenshot with 3 logos but a black background.
Where does this happen? Or I should say, how do you make the black background, and why?
