Re: Iceland Snowy Roads
Is Purno really was made us a joke with stunning physics settings to this piece of road?! Well done! :D ;) Physics were already there, I just used the snowy road texture. As an experiment, to see if people would like it. Currently the snowy parts on route 1 can be circumvented by taking a sli...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Autobahn Rebuilding Project)
What is unrealistic about it? it appears that they sign to the Nürburgring like any town on the Autobahn. It'd be like signing to Göttingen we'll almost certainly never be able to drive there, but it's notable, and to a lesser extent culturally signifigant So you mean just the sign? The track itsel...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Autobahn Rebuilding Project)
3. Last one is second link but in the Nederland. I mean when we drive, for examle. From Hannover across Oldenzaal [D-NL border] to Rotterdam or Antweren we must drive across Amsterdam. I proposes way A27 from Utrecht [NL] The A27 will be hard to connect to the A16 south of the river crossing. Inste...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Autobahn Rebuilding Project)
Not sure if Germany has landmark signs like we do have in the UK (brown signs which show where tourist attractions are), like this: http://www.road-to-the-isles.org.uk/westword/2003may.jpg But perhaps something like this could be done? I don't see the point of including a full race (or even parts of...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Iberian Peninsula Project)
There are a few things that you need to consider when we are talking about new cities: - City density: most of the cities in ProMods don't get picked on their absolute size in the ranking of a country, but rather on the distance between that city and surrounding cities. Of course, we often pick the...

Re: Question about ferries
Yes Newcastle-Bergen was removed, but in order not to create trouble in Bergen we had to reallocate the ferry to another destination. Great news then :) I assume Bergen-Hirtshals is the new route then as mentioned in this topic? Although it's not exactly UK-Norway, it's much more realistic as this ...

Re: Question about ferries
Newcastle - Bergen is a fantasy ;-) It did exist but has been cancelled. But the bigger problem was the addition of Hull. Having Hull-Rotterdam and Newcastle-Bergen resulted in some seriously problematic GPS routes. Therefore, the easier solution was to enable Bergen-Hirtshals (which is an existing...

Re: Development on version 1.x (Iceland edition)
Nice post and screenshots ;) however I can't agree with the statement 'Scotland is boring'. What about the lakes, the castles, the little rivers that flow out along the coast?... You're right about Iceland though! Haven't mentioned Scotland at all lol. I'm used to driving in urban areas, hence the ...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Autobahn Rebuilding Project)
Hence the disclaimer on page 1: DISCLAIMER: This plan is by no means final and is subject to change FYI guys: There is always a chance that we deviate from our plans. This is a rough draft we use now. What will end up in ARP in the end is unknown to all of us ;) In which case, I'll make some sugges...
