Be sure that the game is running on either 32 or 64-bit depending on your OS. For me since I'm running 32 bit Windows 7 I get significant frame drops on 64 bit. I'm running this on a 9 year old laptop just fine so you have to tinker with something to fix this.

Not everything has to be based on Google Maps alone. A lot of the things there are outdated as Eastern and Central Europe in particular have major constant changes.
