This post took longer than I hoped because I changed image-host (from imgur to Postimage.org). Imgur uploads my pictures in random order which is annoying.


Anyway, from Stockholm I headed to Gävle, to pick up the next cargo.


I like Gävle but I can't explain why...


This Krone farmer-equipment thingy (sorry, I'm not that agriculturally developed) is going straight to a Finnish farmer, in Vaasa.


Sundsvall, the city we will enter and cross...


But first, breakfast in Söderhamn.

Suddenly the highway stopped and there was a traffic light.


A big bridge, the eh *tries to not look at cheat sheet* Hogakustenbron!

Unfortunately, this didn't go as planned. The town of Ornskoldsvik (or something) has an annoying bug with a grass texture on the road. Me and my hero moves thought "let's cross that". Which resulted in 2% trailer damage.

I decided to leave my trailer in the port and drive into the city to get my truck fixed.


And we're in Vaasa Port!


The farmer was very happy to take delivery of his new (yes, I've looked this up) hay press!


So happy that he reserved the spot next to the barn for me so I didn't need to find a hotel...


But he also had a new job for me!

This time, we're headed for Kärsämaki, a small town on the route towards Oulu.

....and the Renault keeps holding up!

Until it seemed to don't.


A very crappy parking job to check the map real quick (remember, I still don't use a GPS). And I honestly thought I had beached it.


But the mighty Premium didn't even cough and got out without any trouble. So with the destination in sight, let's crack on!


Quick refuel, after exactly 3.826 km. Second refuel of the adventure.


Hello Kärsämaki, and hello new job!


Quick travel to Oulu to pick up a new job.


Oulu, one of the last big cities we will encounter.


Delivering some doors to Tornio.


Crappy AI, I could've prevented this but sadly, I didn't.


Quick back on the route towards Tornio.

I rushed that so bad I didn't even put a delivery picture on. Here's the next delivery, a nice boat to Kemijarvi.


With lakes like this, I'd want a boat too.

Yeah, IRL in Northern Norway, and I guess it concerns Murmansk as well, never has dark during summer. They've got "midnight sun", meaning it can be in the middle of the night, and the sun can be shining high up in the sky!


Sounds nice, right? yeah, but here comes the bad new. To balance this out, its dark the whole winter. They literally dont have the sun shining at all, in the winter months. Its just not there

Is the Renault truck bound to the challenge or can you just use any truck? I might use my regular truck for this... (Scania Streamline 6x2/4 580hp V8), or a similar equipped truck as the Renault but from another brand.

Yeah, I looked this up, it seems balanced out, just not in a way that we are used to it

Thing is, I've been looking for a load going to Longyearbyen for ages but none pops up...

That was problematic indeed, so I just went from town to town, and sleep a lot. I use console to advance the time 24 hours, so that it won't say "you're not tired so you can't sleep". Otherwise it would take ages.

I used this as a "goodbye" for the Premium, proving it will do these kind of things, because once the Range T comes (soon...) I will drive that a lot and there's just no reason anymore to use the Premium. I don't want the Premium to not appear in any memory, so the biggest adventure I've ever took, features it, so I can happily drive the Range T

I actually found a load from Kemijarvi to Murmansk!

Ah, the Russian border, we're in for a big time...


And they needed a big cargo inspection!


So big that the hours passed by...


And it was around 18:30 that we could drive further...


As Supralisma said, let's test the suspension on this stretch of unpaved 80km/h road!

Then I traded the dirt for a not very sturdy looking wooden bridge...

This is where I realised it's summer in Siberia, so the sun is shining night and day! And I thought the Luminator spotlights were necessary

I've been to Norway 10 years ago, in July. It was still bright as day at 2 AM and we where pretty far south, near Oslo! I never knew that would happen and it was the first time I experienced something like that, weird af
