In my eyes Ulm and the BAB5 in general is a very nice road
But Munich and Bonn/Koblenz etc. is worth a journey too

Last post we covered a lot of ground - this time just travelling from Cambridge to Sheffield and taking in the sights.
Springtime has arrived in Cambridge, and it's a real sight for sore eyes.
Racing Scania!!
Yummy... a whole trailer-full of catastrophically smelly Czech curd cheese!
Venturing forth from Cambridge and heading north.
Drinking in the colours before hitting the bleak stuff once again.
Tvaruzky and panelaky... are we REALLY in England??!!
First drops of rain.
Fuujjj!! Yuk!!
Another masochist heading north in a Saab. Smoke me a kipper!
Everyone thinks he looks DAF but you can have your dream.
Nearing Sheffield. Looks like the toffs have dropped by the local dark satanic mill to check their peons are keeping busy working their fingers to the bone.
Here we are. That must be the famous steelworks.
Could that be a festering toxic swamp of mine tailings?
Hey... don't you talk that way about my truck.
Hello? Anyone around? I am desirous of purchasing some kitchen utensils, cutleries, shrubberies and other sundry stainless products.
It's Grim Up North today, that's for sure.
Hope someone enjoys.... off on a short holiday from Wednesday, back again in a while.

Thanks for the tips! Will definately revisit Bonn and Koblenz in spring (winter shots earlier in this thread) and will bear the rest in mind too! I can see from Volleyball's map that there are a lot of ProMods cities in south Germany, so I'm keen to get startedNoah_Lukas wrote: ↑22 Jan 2018 22:10In my eyes Ulm and the BAB5 in general is a very nice road

Back after a bit of a holiday with a third set from the central UK. This time heading way up North through some horrid weather before retreating back down to Manchester. Set 3 from 5.
Waving goodbye to Sheffield.
Not nice at all, and getting really c-c-c-cold.
Highway to Hull.
Hull or high water.
It would be so easy doing PR for Hull. How about "See you in Hull"?
Or perhaps the even punchier "Go to Hull!".
Hull is a ProMods city, built from scratch I think, and quite rare in this part of England, so I'll give it a bit more screen time.
Who ate my shorts?
Mystery house. ProMods sponsor? Site of some Hull-situated horror film? Hullraiser, maybe? Hullboy?
Moving on... next stop Carlisle, near the Scottish border.
Meat's back on the menu.
Nice hydro installation.
Bloody Hull I hate snow.
Carlisle at last!
Another Folorn Bus Stop™
I can almost hear the wind-blown drink can rolling.
Meanwhile, some adventurous types are ballooning. Coatless of course.
Cosy...
Striking out for Newcastle upon Tyne, the windshield was so cold I could freeze eggs on it.
Newcastle.
Heading back southwards to Manchester. Why am I reminded of the Zappa song where he sings "watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow"?
Back in warmer climes.
Goldenrod's captured again.
Madchester. Let's get some kip...
Cheers

Part four of five in central Britain - From Manchester back down to Fishguard in sunny south Wales.
Alarm didn't go off... bummer.
Headed to the corner shop to get some Hobnobs and a packet of Fisherman's Friend mints.
Nice to see sunshine again, and no snow.
Leaving Manchester.
Driving south. Someone's been busy chopping down trees.
Doing our best amphisbaena impression. Better watch out though, with lumberjacks at large.
Like banking in a glider...
Are all the DAF cabs the same size?
Cardiff again.
Short hop to somewhere near Swansea.
Finally, farm animals which are not freezing their hooves off.
Famous ketchup tanker trapped with many others by trivial accident involving police car.
De-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de...
Wales in bloom!
Let's sleep in their car park and wake up to a nourishing breakfast.
Stomach aching and cab windows well open, we cautiously approach Fishguard at the break of dawn.
Fishguard is a tantalising glimpse of what ProMods' authors can do beyond the borders of the original map.
Time to deliver... the truck stops here.
Cheers
