So there I was, hammering west down I-40 having just crossed from Texas into New Mexico when a piece of STUFF comes flying down the road. One of these:

Turns out it was because the truck towing it fell in a hole and broke:

I know it's supposed to get pretty warm on the Scorching Plains™ of New Mexico* but I didn't think it melted the roads that badly.
