Good morning! Time for a new journey after spending the night in the Akureyri, Iceland garage!
Time to look for a new job and see what our next destination will be!
A brand new cargo ready to be dragged along Europe!
This route is lengthy but with cargo that's pretty light, so no need for so many wheels on the road.
The route planner shows by default 85 hours and 31 minutes for a nearly 5,500 km trip (land + ferry combined)
I however thing I may change the route as I prefer to limit the travel time trough the UK and thus skip multiple ferries.
Taking the route trough Hirtshals (Denmark) I skip 2 ferry ride and shorten the trip already by roughly 500 km but takes 3 hours longer.
Time I can spare easily and it is slightly cheaper as well. From there we will see where we will go next. Time to drive!
Truck: Scania R, 730hp (RJL Tandem)
Trailer: Ekeri dolly full trailer
Livery: Posti
From: Akureyri, Iceland
To: Thessaloniki, Greece
Cargo: Empty Barrels
Cargo Mass: 9,226 kg
Time to hope on the ferry to Hirtshals, Denmark!
Welcome to Hirtshals, Denmark!
I planned the route all the way to Budapest, Hungary. Not planning further as the map sometimes messes up and you can redo it again.
Just between Flensburg and Kiel I had this beautiful view from a bridge.
Reached Brno, Czech Republic! Grabbed the garage and time to move on!
Next stop will be the garage in Vienna where I will also take a rest.
Reached Vienna! Time to take some rest!
After a good rest, let's press on! Next stop will be Niš in Serbia. This will of course take a bit, not stopping in the meanwhile either.
Passes Skopje, not too far now!
Finally arrived in Thessaloniki, Greece! Time to unload and have a rest!
