We know the speed limits for trucks in the UK vary between Scotland, England & Wales, and Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland has a separate definition but a lot more work would be required to split Scotland from England and Wales. Furthermore, it would be impossible if we did split them to set the A9 as a higher speed between Perth and Inverness. Perhaps this could be done in future when the files can be easily composed.
I know the A9 is on the trial speed limit (though 3 years seems like they should know by now...), and I did wonder how you would get around that.

I'm no map editor so sorry if this is a totally impossible idea but can you manually set the speed limit for a specific road, like you can set lower limits in cities and side roads or are they defined by the model and country ?

The national speed limit of each road type is defined by the country def file. Speed limit signs set speed limits in game that are different, but they do not alter truck speed limits. I cannot think of a way that we could implement the correct IRL speeds easily.

@ Nathan_A_RF - I see, like I said it wasn't a big deal I was just wondering if you had plans to implement it at all. It still seems daft to me that Scotland has a different limit at all, with hardly any reminders either (The only one I can remember seeing South of the border was on the door to the toilets in Blyth services...)

Yes. That file should be compatible, for a long time.

Cheers Devilagent :) Is the ferry prices estimates or very close to IRL?

Would it be possible to add Leeds because Leeds is a main hub for trade routes in Yorkshire??

@Shiva: its a while ago so I will look at this soon, if prices and times are too far off the current prices, I will update it
EDIT: I've updated this mod with more accurate times, prices and distances:

Please develop other areas of Ireland, especially the south and southwest, cities like Cork, Waterford, Killkenny, Carlow.
Please bring us the Irish M8, M9, extension of the N25 from Cork to Wexford, the M20 and the N20 from Limerick to Cork, the ferry from Cork to Roscoff, France, and also the expansion of Northern Ireland, and cities like Dublin and Limerick.
