You also can move things a bit: M3 and border.

Indeed I can; M3 will be rebuilded anyway so it wouldn't be a problem to move things a bit...
But moving the border would be disadvantageous because I would steal space from Slovakia.

I haven't had the chance until now to visit the ProMods board, but what I found almost melt my heart. Really happy to see a new Hungarian city in the works, and I'm very glad to hear that Debrecen (my birthplace) is getting a facelift. Thank you for your continuing efforts! :)
(I'm also very excited to read in your signature that you are currently working on Hajdú-Bihar county, the area I grew up).

Just a couple of comments and questions below:

1. While Vásárosnamény is not a bad in-universe candidate (a new Industrial Park is being built in it next to Road 41, and it's the de facto capital of the Bereg district), I am surprised to read that this city fits the map, while Nyíregyháza and Miskolc does not. I understand that Nyíregyháza is too close to Debrecen while Miskolc is probably too close to Kosice, but I still hope you'll reconsider including at least one of them later on the map. Both of them are important industrial and cultural centres of North-East Hungary, and are much more populous than Vásárosnamény.

2. I read that Debrecen is getting a rebuild, but that its road connection to Romania may need to be removed. Please don't do that, if possible. The route simulated there in-game (Road 47 southbound from Debrecen, merging into Road 42 [or E79] eastbound to Oradea in Berettyóújfalu) is a very important transit route for traffic heading west from Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Actually, what I would love to see as an enhancement is that the current intersection in-game south of Debrecen getting replaced with a roundabout, as is the case in real life. Is there a chance of getting this done, given that you are currently working on Hajdú-Bihar?

3. Currently, the border station between Debrecen and Oradea is a generic unmarked border station from the base game. Is there any chance of replacing it with the actual Ártánd-Bors border station, or at least with a better-looking border station prefab than what we have now there?

4. I'm pretty sure that you already have a plan on what to rebuild and what to add to Hungary. Still, if you are interested in my two cents, see my earlier post on this matter as a potential food for thought. In short, if they fit, it'd be great to see Kecskemét, Szolnok, Nagykanizsa, or Szombathely added to the map. ;)

Yes, I totally agree with you, JohnBart. Cities in your list are very important for Hungary.

Back then when I started playing ProMods, my first deliveries were bound to Romania. As long as we get the variety in the Hungary rebuild that we've got with Romania right now (which, I think, still looks beautiful despite being already "old" by Promods standards), we should be fine. ;)

First of all: I really appreciate you feedback! I think it will be useful. :)

1. I agree with you that Nyíregyháza and Miskolc are very important cities which definitely deserve a try. I want to finish Debrecen first and after that I'll look how much space is left for Nyíregyháza. But please believe me: I'm not ignoring this city. Regarding Vásárosnamény: I added this town because I removed the the gas station after M3/M35 interchange (heading towards Ukraine) and I had to find a place where I can add the gas station again.

2. Of course I will not remove the road connection with Romania if it is not necessary and at the moment it looks like it's not going to happen. It is a solution if the space problems become too critical.

3. Yeah, I will edit the border but with a focus on the Hungarian side of the border.

4. I don't have a concrete plan about cities etc., to be honest. So I noted your suggestions. ;)

Ah, got it. Still, it's always nice to see a new Hungarian destination popping up. Make no mistake, it won't be a tragedy if Miskolc and Nyíregyháza won't fit the map (the 1:19 ratio leaves very limited space for quality mapping in Hungary for sure), I just wanted to offer my two cents on what cities would be nice to be included there in the future.

Okay, got it. Whatever it takes to make the best of the available space. ;)

Sounds great. Looking forward to seeing which of them (if any of them at all) will fit in the available space.

Good luck, and have fun working on Hungary. ;)

Just a quick technical question:

Last February, Nathan mentioned that ProMods has no assets for actual Hungarian railway level crossings, hence the vanilla Going East railway crossings were shown in the images posted back then. Does the project have Hungarian level crossings now, or is that still the case?

If ProMods is still lacking those assets and have no resources to model/texture them, I can ask the Hungary Map guys if they can share their own models with the project.
