Way too long detour if that ferry was disabled:

We try to avoid "dead-end" roads, even though it's not always possible (only 1 road to Kirkenes in 2.1).

Now it basically reads any zip file.
Uncompressed zip, scs pack or flat directory. Compressed zip does not work.

I tried with 1.30. Compressed zip did not work. May have used the wrong compression algorithm.

I have a little question about real "ferrie" areas like that one in Dover . Are you going to build something like that in other cities ?

I've never really understood the obsession with having as few ferry routes as possible. It's a fundamental part of any European truck drivers life, and surely is better to have the option there? If you don't like using them then simply re-route. Its not the end of the world if you don't make 10,000 euro (another immersion spoiler) on that particular job.

I ended up learning how to create ferry routes and curving map lines specifically to add more realism. Ended up deleting the uk ferries to the faroes and iceland as they don't exist anymore and adding more routes from Dublin and Rosslare as well as Rotterdam and Hirtshals which were missing. Prices and durations raised too.

If I'm going to play 'being a truck driver' I'm going to want the options an IRL driver would have in terms of routes. If i dont fancy taking a ferry and driving thats different, but I like having the ferries there as an option

RealisticFerries.scs - 38 KB

Give that a go!

It has a lot of additional ferry routes, with a few non realistic route removals - Thurso to Torshavn/Seydisfjordur etc

Prices and durations correct as of this month. If an IRL route didn't have an in game port, i used the nearest relevant port - Kiel/Puttgarden.

Bilbao ferry pier is not present in ProMods, therefore needing a map edit.
