I hope so too. Waiting until 1.37 update can be long~~~~~~time because ETS2 doesn't start even 1.37 open beta and Promods team must consider reworked eastern France. It may give developers more additional works to do. Compatibility check, merging with another reworked area, etc...
(You know, in 1.37 update, some cities of eastern France will be reworked.)

I think the best scenario, as everyone wishes, is releasing 2.45 before 1.37 open beta.

But who knows? It's ready when it's ready and only TIME knows when it is released.

It indeed makes sense to release 2.45 under 1.36 (I'd say most of us would rather downgrade to 1.36 even if 1.37 was out already) because then you can be sure that a bug comes from 2.45 and not from the transition between 1.36 and 1.37. And once those bugs are removed 2.46 can then be released under 1.37.

SCS has announced that there will be delayed developments in ETS2 and ATS as all SCS employees will be working from home due to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. I think that 1.37 will be delayed for ETS2 due to SCS working from home.
