Will there ever be a eastern Ukraine topic?
As soon as they reach Kiev, I guess so.

By the way, wasn't Kovel already on development when this thread was started?

Yes it was. While Platypus worked on the southwest on Uzhhorod and Mukachevo, I started on the northwest on Kovel. But, after pretty much non-stop mapping for a long while (Iceland), I needed a break and Kovel was paused for 2 years.

Now, 2 years later, I'm back and I'm planning to finish the city I once started. Hopefully will do more cities, but right now there's still plenty to do in Kovel.

He is not totally wrong with that, yes, Odessa is situated rather in the south, there are more eastern not disputed areas though. I think the most important aspect when approaching the conflict areas would anyway be - how to connect ProMods to RusMap? Which will be very tough omitting the Donezk and Luhansk area, via Mariupol maybe.

But please, since it's called WESTERN Ukraine project, stick to discussing about Ukraine's western area. The rest is still very far away both in time as in distance..

I think if there will be some connection with Rusmap it will be near Kharkiv as it is not disputed territory

Don't worry about connections. If there's a problem, we'll look for a solution.

But right now, Western Ukraine is big enough and will take plenty of time to make. It took me a lot of time to make Iceland, but Iceland only has a few towns and even fewer roads. Towns are time-consuming to make, as there's a lot of detail that goes into them. Ukraine has more towns, but also more roads connecting all these towns.
