May I ask a question. Why does spain have those complicated roadsystems it makes no sense well it kinda makes sense if its build on a hill but really Spain? You can flatten it remember

Spain has those roadsystems because real life Spain has them too.

That is because between France and Spain (as well inside Andorra) there are the Pyrenees, a mountain range. Also, the highway system of Spain are kind of weird because almost all our highways are made to go to Madrid, the capital, which to be honest is quite useless. Every main city in Spain has a highway that ends in Madrid but this also happens with the railway system.

To be fair, Madrid does take a central position on the Iberian penninsila.
it is therefore almost compulsory that roads are built in this central direction.
Not all roads lead to/come from Madrid... all of the coast is linked without the need to go through Madrid.

I do not believe it is a strange road system. It is actually quite a good one I might add.

I think Spain use the location of Madrid as an opportunity to connect it on the way to another coast.
