Looks like SCS will add Spain and Portugal sometime in the future. "we will also get to build a new map DLC comprising Portugal and Spain"
SCS post about Portugal day.
We strongly believe that Euro Truck Simulator 2 still has enough life in it that eventually, we will also get to build a new map DLC comprising Portugal and Spain.
Eventually. Let us hope that we have SCS Software in the future.

I think once this is done we will basically have all of europe done, and in high quality. If you combine promods, rusmap, southern region, turkey, balkans, great steppe then you already have a huge map. I know this is hard work (I tried making a map that adds my home town and gave up after a day lol} and devs dont like it when we ask 'when is it ready?' but im curious to see how far it is? Like how much of spain/portugal is finished/wip?
Anywhay, when its ready i will celebrate lol! :D

I actually enjoy the hectic infrastructure in Spain. Makes driving there a bit more challenging

Why? If you do not like the configuration of the roads of the country you can go elsewhere.

Germany has these highly inefficient cloverleafs... even sometimes in cities... Spain's infrastructure is better in terms of highways imo although they got worse asphalt.
