Superdavecan wrote:Looks great! But I personally think that Denmark is already saturated with cities and doesn't really need any more... I'm more in favour of more places in Sweden like Kalmar, Karlskrona, Växjö, Uppsala, maybe even Gävle... and a complete fixing of Stockholm. I also think Finland is severely under-represented in the map and needs to have at least Tampere, could also do with places like Lahti, Jyväskylä and maybe even Kuopio. Perhaps more places like Kotka or Lappeenranta have been added as part of Project Euromir... but anyway that's my personal opinion, that in place of Danish expansion I would be more in favour of Swedish and Finnish expansion. ;) All that aside though, the beautification of Denmark does look great! :D
I must say that you are right when you say that Finland needs to have more city areas in the map because we have many different cities in here and i now that because i drive a truck in Finland and i must say that this country is the third longest country in europe and we have plenty of roads/cities in here and if you drive from place a to place b it can take various hours to drive to your destination so if its possible please add more cities to Finland in your map mod and for exp.Vantaa,Oulu,Tampere,Kotka and Rovaniemi.ps.the road signs in Finland are in Finish and Swedish.Finish language on top of the sign and swedish language is below the sign and in some places the language of sweden is on top of the finish language because some places people speak swedish and not finnish and for exp.sipoo, porvoo and åland so thats why the road signs can be different in other places but usually road signs in Finland are bilingual. :)

Another little detail for you guys, since you are speaking about keeping the map up to date: The new right-wing government in Norway plans to increase the speed limit on some motorways from 100 km/h to 110 km/h. It will most likely happen in may/june 2014. New motorways will be built for 130 km/h, whatever that means.

Can't find the piece about 130km/h but at least 110 is positive, I already have the sign for that ;)

ScuL: Good to hear, haha ;)

Sorry, the part about building roads for 130 km/h was in another article. Here it is: http://www.tv2.no/nyheter/politisk/regj ... 33600.html

Though, I think increasing it to 130 km/h will take alot more time, because they will have trouble getting it through in parliament. I guess thats why they say "new roads will by built for 130 km/h" - its a way to postpone the problem :P

Yea possibly although DK and NL have recently gone up to 130 too, I'm surprised Norway proposes it before Sweden, although Sweden has upped to 120 in some restricted zones in recent years. Norway has always been one of the "slowest" countries in Europe so therefore the 130 really comes as a surprise. Really time for the UK to go from 70 to 80mph as well then!

The reason why the norwegian policy has changed so much so rapidly, is because there is a new party in government. A party which has been in opposition for 40 years - the Progress Party. It is a libertarian/populist party, and their opinions differ very much from all other parties.

Norway actually went from having one of europes most left leaning governments for 8 years, with a socialist party participating in coalition, to a quite right-wing one - in just one election. Hence, the policy will change alot in some areas.

But of course, that they now consider (I dont think it will go through in 3-5 years) 130 km/h came as a suprise for me too. I thought they would land on 110 or 120 as a compromise with the other "bourgeoisie" parties. Though, I read that Poland have increased to 140 km/h on some roads, and Italy 150, so other countries go even further. Thats also an idea for the map btw, placing out some 140/150 speed signs in those contries when you have time.

Now, that was a little lesson in Scandinavian politics 8-)
