Finland (Helsinki) is not a part Scandinavia?

If you look at older dictionaries and not wikipedia,you can see that south-west Finland is actually part of Scandinavia,but the rest of Finland is part of Fennoscandia.Also people in Finland usually say that Finland is a Scandinavian country.For example the SAS airline operates in Finland too.
