An error with navigation at said intersection. The GPS wants me to make an impossible u-turn.

I do not think this is a serious bug.
In real life, the GPS can not always accurately shows.
Sometimes, even often you have to use brain and sign navigation instead of a GPS.

hmm...here it is probably a error in prefab.

We do a lot of roads in Poland in such a way as to not be guided by GPS.
