I had a bad case of textures going crazy, roads, trucks, signs, sky etc etc.
Since the 1.6x i never had this problem.
Only the roads on the gps turn red..
So GREAT job, happy happy happy indeed!
[SOLVED] Textures going C-R-A-Z-Y!!!
I actually had both problems.
I installed promods 1.62 and took my first job from R'dam to Stavanger. No problem at all. After I delivered the cargo I went to the freight market and the font went blocky. Picked up the load an quit. Next day the font was normal again, but now the colours of the roads (in both the gps view and the map view) were wrong as shown in the previous page.
I use the Linux version, so obviously OpenGL.
I'll try to figure out if there is some consistency to all this and report back.

A small update. I've been driving through the french promods area and didn't encounter the blocky font and map colour problem at all. Maybe that can help isolate the problematic files.
The only problem that still persists is that the icons on the map (both shop icons, road markings and other identifiers) keep changing when you zoom/move.

You say Linux, so You use OpenGL.
See: http://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=141 it is a known problem.

wow this topic is going nowhere without me
I've had a break from ETS2 for a while and returned to see that the logos on the map still behave weird (i. e. change) when zooming... And sometimes it stops changing but...
i. e. METRO turned into SAAB

Indeed the logo mayhem, messed up fonts and messed up GPS problems are still there. The first always happens, the others only in the nordic countries. I still have researching the problem in my todo list, but so far I haven't gotten around to it.
On a related note. I recently checked the MHA map as well and it has this problem even worse. Almost all visits to the job market lead to corrupted fonts.
