Never had this problem when I used the ferry, it's probably caused by another mod.

Is that an oversize load I see? I've had similar problems, going into tunnels with large loads...........
Try dropping your trailer at the port, then board the ferry to see if the same thing happens.

Looks like a model from the military cargo pack of jazzycat.
I know that at least 1 of the models in there has a to big hitbox, which will cause a hanging in trafficlights if you use the outerlane....

This time the trailer stuck in the ground, there are multiple topic about that problem.

Detach, go repair, come back and gently push the obstinate thing out of its hole, try re-attaching perhaps.
