It seems that the GPS suggests to drive through Jönköping when southbound on E4 instead of continuing on the highway:
[05/08/2018 21:22] (sec+0003-0010);14576.6;7.90255;-40210;-2.88206;-0.302465

If you ignore it the GPS still tries to use the roundabout instead of the offramp:

Ignore this and you get the correct path:

Dont know if this is fixable or if the GPS just uses the "nearest" or "shortest" route?

@Mlie, I agree the GPS seems to prefer to take the player through Jönköping instead of around it using ProMods. When I test with my own game the GPS reports that the route through the city (your picture #1) is 20 km shorter and 14 minutes quicker than taking the highway route (your picture #2). From a real-world perspective we know it probably isn't quicker, but these are (some of) the factors that the game GPS uses to plan its route. If the GPS Navigation Mode is set to "Shortest", then the GPS will by default plan a route like your picture #2 (which also doesn't make much sense since the GPS reported that the route through the city was shorter). However, in either "Best" or "Shortest" Navigation Mode, the GPS can be instructed to take the route like your picture #3 by placing a map waypoint near the interchange loop.

In summary I agree that the game GPS is doing something unexpected but it is easy enough for the player to correct by placing waypoints. I do not believe there is anything "simple" that the ProMods developers could do to correct the problem.

I recently read that the in-game time has different speeds depending on where you are driving. Something like 15 times faster on highway, 6 times faster in cities and 2 times faster on parking/gas stations (not sure about the values).
Maybe it is because of this the GPS marks the route through the city is shorter, since it is in in-game time?
Perhaps the roundabout-way in example 2 is "tagged" as city-road as well and that makes it shorter?

I understand that this may not be fixable from ProMods. Maybe the game-developers need to add more options to the GPS-settings instead, like Scenic Route, Avoid Toll Roads, Prefer Highway etc.

It is true that in-game time changes: inside cities it is 1:3 (1 second real-time is 3 seconds game-time), everywhere else is 1:19. I do not know if that has an impact on GPS routing decisions.
