This is where topics get moved that aren't caused by bugs in our mod

I have updated to the newest versions of "everything" - ETS2 1.18 and Promods 1.95 with DLC Scandinavia. Only extra mod is the Scania T.

All looks and runs great!

I took a job last night from Innsbruck to Kosice and after a while I noticed something odd:

All the overhead speed limit signs were blank!

Are the signs turned off on a Sunday along that route? The job was on a Sunday.

Or is it possibly a bug, either SCS or Promods?

Could you please post a screenshot of your issue? It's kinda guessing what you mean right now..

I believe that it's normal at night, but I only know for sure if I've seen the screenshot and the description(or coordinates) of the exact location.

Or it might be that there is no need for the signs to be on on that route, either because traffic is running at the normal speed limit/unrestricted speed.

It is probably something like that.

We don't have these signs in SA, and I am unfamiliar with the way they work.
If that functionality is built into the game, then WOW!

Last night I drove some of the route again.

The overhead signs are working from Innsbruck to near Linz, albeit not very brightly. Before Linz there is an overhead that indicates a 'de-restriction'.
After that the signs are blank.

I am guessing this is normal.

Code: Select all

 near linz no sign ; [28/05/2015 19:47] (sec+0003+0003);13877.3;70.7462;14516.3
 again no sign ; [28/05/2015 19:48] (sec+0003+0003);14179.6;70.8024;14445.2
 still no sign ; [28/05/2015 19:49] (sec+0003+0003);15207.6;67.3973;14595.8
For some reason, the bug report screenshots do not exist...

So I just have a normal screenshot of one of the signs:

I 'll try this this evening. Also, I move it to the bugs-reports section of the forum.

I think it's an intentional design. If you see a sign with an end of a restriction, the signs are off, since there is nothing to display. The signs only display something that's different from the "standard" situation..

That makes some kind of sense to me.

What would be interesting is to see if the situation changes i.e. how do the signs work in Monday morning peak hour?
It would be really WOW! if the signs 'reacted' to the traffic as they would IRL!!!
