def file for 2.15

still having issues. I reloaded my def file and still doesn't show up in my mods list. Any hints would be appreciated

Could you show us a screenshot of your mod folder (with files' sizes visible) and your game.log?

Googling doesn't hurt

Open that folder, press Print Screen on your keyboard (it's probably shortened to Prt Sc), open Paint then, press CTRL+V (paste) and you'll see your screenshot. Save it and upload to imgur.com, then give us link.

not sure if a coincidence but after a Steam update my def file now shows up in my mods list. working fine. Thanks all for the input.
