the solution to my problems was to reinstall the game, paste back mods and profiles (probably clearing the game cache would have worked too but I wanted to be sure)
tested a new profile without any mods and game run perfectly on 200% scaling and ultra settings, never dropped below 60 fps, 50-55 fps on 400%. back to all my mods (including american trucks) and get constant 40-50 fps on 150% scaling and almost ultra settings (lowered only some mirror settings).
interesting that GPU (GTX 960 actually) is working quite hard even on medium settings, getting easily at 70°C and full memory at 90-95%. All this time CPU works at only 15-20% (I7-4770, 3.4 Ghz) and RAM never more than 4Gb (8Gb in total), so interestingly the game is very high GPU demanding, all fps problems are basically caused by the GPU
also noticed that the additional trucks are high consumers and consequently I usually reduce the additional lights and mirrors

I think Spain is little overdone. It looks amazing but there just so many roads there (are they really all necessary?) and the junctions are insane.. Its unplayable for me. Bilbao and Barcelona are horrible, fps goes to single digits. ATS has cool looking busy areas like ProMods Spain but they perform so much better.

i upgradet from my GTX 970 to GTX 1070 SLI Setup

with the GTX 970 my frames never droped under 30fps in busy areas and i hade 70% of the time 60fps but now with my SLI setting it even dropes down to 20fps and only 40% of the time 60fps, i thought the game supports SLI because when i watch Squirrel play he never had any framedrops with his old 980ti SLI setup

game was reinstalled recently and tweking the options didnt work either or the changes with nVidia Inspector für ETS2 SLI

i have i5 6500 3.5ghz gtx 960 oc 2gb and 8gb ram but when i come to city 20 fps 25max help ..

What are your graphics settings in-game?

i have deinstalled this rubis GeFore Experience from nVidia and now i have constant FPS but sometimes in citys i reach barly 50fps

all options are on high and i have 125% scaling

50 is fine, below 30 is noticeable

i notice it wenn die fps drop down from 60 to 50 or 40 its irritating when it happens

Took a quick scan on google, drivers not ready for 1070 SLI and one 1080 actually performs better than 1070x2 from what I could find
And sorry 980ti SLI with mature drivers is a much better setup than yours

yeah but Forza 6 Apex and Forza Horizon 3 have no problems with my Setup i reach 70fps on both game High Settings without a 5fps dip every minute
