Promods V 2.11 Installation Trouble

Dear all,

I am new to ProMods and I hope someone can help me with the ff:

I have the Going East DLC and the Scandinavia DLC. ETS2 is version 1.27.2.3.

I have downloaded and installed the ProMods V 2.11 files which seem to compatible with my two DLCs.

When I start the mod manager in ETS2 it is said that ProMods is not compatible. The "i" tells me that all six ProMods packs would be required, but that is exactly what I have done. In my mod folder I have got the ff:

promods-assets-v211.scs
promods-def-v211.scs
promods-map-v211.scs
promods-media-v211.scs
promods-model1-v211.scs
promods-model2-v211.scs

Does anyone have an idea what I did wrong?

Please review compat.php
To use an older version of ProMods you also need to downgrade to an older version of ETS2. Also, why use 2.11 when you can use 2.12?

That's because ProMods 2.11 isn't compatible with ETS2 1.27, you will need to downgrade to ETS2 1.25.

Or use ProMods 2.12, and downgrade to ETS2 1.26.

Thank you! I think I got it.

Is ProMods generally compatible with the ETS 2 non-Steam version and the non-steam DLCs? Or does ProMods require the Steam-versions of ETS 2 and the DLCs?

I think it doesn't matter.

For what I know the Steam version and the retail version of the game are basically the same.
