[2.25] Long loading times - solution in "annoucments"

Thank you for this hint. It does the job pretty well.
First time it took about 5 minutes to load the game, but second time it took less than 20 seconds to load the game with active mods like (50k Addons, Big Stars Arocs/Actros, Hella Rallye 3000 Lights and SiSL Megapack) on my existing profile.

This is all very interesting. I downloaded 2.25 some 10hrs ago and got v2.25b...not sure if a hotfix was put out or it's a typo Anyway my load time before was around 1.5mins, now it's down to 20sec or so. Not having any issues after playing all day, and didn't have to delete a thing. My process was-

- Download new Promods and unpack
- Remove ETS2 v1.28 lock in Steam settings
- Buy and install Italia DLC
- Update ETS2 to v1.30
- Play!

Not sure what the deal with Genova is but I notice the Scania dealer there has now vanished (was about to buy my first truck there this morning). Perhaps some other popular mod is causing issues? All I have is Promods, Jazzycat's buses, DP Realistic Traffic, Sound Fixes Pack, two trucks and a few minor tweaks of my own.

Ok, thanks for the help. Genova reappeared on the map, but the Lacq in France did not. Is it an issue or just a bug? Or should I ignore it and it was meant to be like this?

Lacq is a part of Pau, so it's normal that you don't see it.

Here's a fix for all of you, no matter if you use the DLC or not. Looks like SCS fixed their sector in Genova in today's patch, so my fix from above is not needed if you delete some sectors. Follow my instructions below:

We can't provide a file for that, unfortunately. It happened due to last-minute fixing of 2.25 and some vanilla 1.30 sectors got included.

If you don't own the DLC, you can still delete those files, it'll fix the long loading time issue too.

Go to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
Right-click on "promods-map-v225.scs" file and open it with 7-zip/WinRAR.
Go to map/europe folder.
Find and delete:

• sec-0001+0007.base
• sec-0002+0008.base
• sec-0003+0008.base

Don't delete any other file or you'll have to download ProMods again.

Now launch the game again. All DLC Italia areas and cities should work properly now and the game will load fast of course. Have fun!

I have done this, but still game is crashing at loading.

Hi all
been using promods for a long while and will also BUT i have come with a problem with the 2.25 version and that is....

I have downloaded all fines (great value at just $1) and loaded the order as per the instructions on the promods web site
but it just stops loading half way thought the loading.
Only other mods i am running are the trailer pack (promods) and a sound pack.
I have tried with the sound pack and it loads ok, tried it with the promods trailer pack and it works ok, it is just when i add the promods map pack that the problems seems to rear is ugly head.
