Ever since downloading and using ProMods 2.30 I've been getting frame drops in cities, I'd go from a solid 60fps to around 24-30fps when getting into a city, It's even worse in London as it is much bigger now.
I don't know if there is a fix to this, I've lowered my settings from ultra to high and it didn't help.
I'm using a custom built computer -
i7-7700k
nVidia GTX 1080
16GB DDR4 RAM
I don't understand why I'm getting this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Same situation with my PC (i5-4670K / 16GB / 1060 6G / SSD / 1.31 with PM 2.3 only): whatever settings i'm using FPS dropping randomly.
Scalling 100 or 200%. Nothing work in background, cpu / gpu temperatures are low.
What's interesting that when i dl DEF file with Ultra distance for rendering 'trees' - i have better FPS vs DEF with normal rendering distance.

I don't really see what the issue is here... Yes the frames drop a bit. But that's what you should expect when using ProMods..
I mean, 24-30 fps is perfectly playable.. It's not like the 1 fps Barcelona was back in the day.
Be glad you can play the game with such high fps. My PC struggles with cities like London and Barcelona. I get somewhere around 15 fps. But that's fine, it's still playable. I expect frame drops in cities, especially big cities.
To improve frame rates, you may need to lower your mirror quality and/of (mirror) view distance.

I'm just confused as to how my pc doesn't struggle one bit without promods but does with promods. It shouldnt struggle with promods, my pc is well equipped to handle it...

It's not surprising, is how pc's work. More stuff, means more thinking. And ProMods adds a lot of stuff.
