You just need to wait. The game needs to build the route navigation. This can take quite long.

Some say, I'm addicted to ETS2. But then I say. No, it's ProMods, it's a way of life.

I know it takes a while for the 1st loading, its the fact that ETS2 becomes no responsive (as got task manager open) then whole PC shuts down every time. ETS2 1.32 without promods 2.31 works with no issues.

It is normal for the Windows Task Manager to report that the game is "not responding" during several stages of the game load, including during the navigation cache build.

Neither the game software nor ProMods can trigger a PC shutdown themselves, some external event must be causing the shutdown. I can think of a few situations:
  1. Your computer's power saver preferences are set to put the computer to sleep/shutdown after a short period of inactivity. If this is what is happening then increase the timeout period, or "wiggle the mouse" every few minutes to keep the computer "awake".
  2. Your PC is reaching some overload/overheat condition and shutting down to protect itself.
  3. Some other software is initiating the shutdown (for whatever reason).
