Archives cannot be opened

Hi all,
may I enter this topic with the same problem and some additional informations?
I also tried both ways of download, the payed way and the slow way. In both cases I'm facing the same problem:
The archives
- promods-assets-v241.scs
- promods-media-v241.scs
- and the promods-model1-3 archives
cannot be opened. In every case I get an error message like: "The archive has an unknown format or could be damaged"
I'm quite sure that this is the problem as I had a row in the gamelog that said: "error - searching in a compressed archive is not allowed".

To avoid any influences from other mods (not maps) I've started a new profile. The game crashes after half of the loading time. With Promods deactivated the game starts without any problems.

The testfile.exe did not report any errors.

I'm using 7-zip in its latest version (19.00 64bit)
Unfortunately, at this very moment I can't post my gamelog. I will add this later if needed.
Operating system is Win7, game version ( of course) is 1.35

Any ideas what went wrong?

Ok, after starting again and waiting nearly half an hour the game starts properly. I really was too impatient

You obviously can't extract our locked files.

If it crashes, we need to see your complete game.log, there's no other way to guess what's wrong.

Does the game crash, or does the loading bar just stop for a while?

I suspect it's the latter, since I don't see a crash in your game.log. In which case, that's normal for the first load after installing or upgrading promods, as the game needs to reset the navigation cache. Just let it go - it can take 30 minutes or longer. It will load much more quickly in future.
