Game crashed to desktop with 2.42

I have just made a new profile to 2.42 and everytime I click on the profile it crashed to desktop, I have no other mods installed for that profile just promods 2.42

You are running a def file for ProMods 2.41 with all the other files for PM 2.42.

Go back to step 1 of the download process and download a new def file.
