I found the hole also, on the main highway just past the border into Macedonia heading south towards Greece.

Hopefully this is correct way to paste. I pulled some of the mods which I thought were causing the trouble (ROEX), and the hole vanished. Just the vanilla now for this region, I think. The hole is (was) on highway 1 just south of Skopje and appears to be anything south of that latitude line.
