extraction errors

when im extracting promods-v184.part3 to the folder where i want the scs file from the part 3 folder to be. why do i get the following "CRC error in "promods-v184.scs." the file is corrupt? 
You only need to extract part one. Rest of them are extracted automatically.
And if it's saying something about corrupted files, try downloading the file again.
